On 7th February 2021, Creative Mercury Bay is hosting Whitianga’s first busking festival, Whiti Fest!
Held in 5 locations in the Whitianga Town centre, Whiti Fest will turn the sidewalks into stages with explosions of local performing arts talent.
We’re looking for performing artists to participate in Whiti Fest. Here’s the lowdown:
* You will be paid for your performance
* You can also put out a hat to collect koha/sell your merch
* We’ll promo you in the lead up to the event
* You can contribute any type of performance-based act e.g. mime, dance, comedy, music, theatre, acrobatics, puppetry, magic, spoken word poetry etc...
This is a unique opportunity to get your craft out in front of thousands of people during a busy long weekend in Whitianga, meet others in the Mercury Bay region who are also performing artists, and be part of a fun community-led arts event, which we hope will turn into a bigger, annual event.
